FAQ

Questions buyers ask us first

Straight answers on how working with MX Maven works. If yours is not here, send us a note.

Does MX Maven own the fabrication shops?

No. MX Maven manages a network of partner mills, distributors and shops in northern Mexico. We match your scope to the right one, oversee the work and act as your single point of contact.

What should I send to get a quote?

Drawings or a takeoff, material and finish specifications, quality and documentation requirements, delivery location and target dates. If your files are too large for the form, email them to rm@mxmaven.com.

Do you quote tariffs and freight?

Yes. Our goal is one landed number that includes material, fabrication, finish, tariffs, customs and freight. Tariff treatment depends on how your product is classified, so we review it for each scope.

How small or large can an order be?

Our partners handle one-piece prototypes through full production, and our project experience includes a 1,100,000 lb bridge. Freight ranges from one piece to full containers and multi-axle heavy haul.

Which certifications do your shops hold?

Certifications vary by shop and include ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, AWS welding certifications, certified welding inspector support and UL-1332 powder coat. Tell us what your project requires and we will confirm the match and provide current documents.

Can we visit the plant?

Yes, for active projects. We can arrange plant visits and share shop details under an NDA.

Do you erect steel?

No. We supply, fabricate and deliver to your site, ready for your erector. Where the scope calls for it, we trial fit assemblies in the shop before they ship.

What documents come with the work?

Mill test reports and a signed proof of delivery for each load. First article inspection, material certifications, Cpk and PPAP studies are available upon request where the shop and scope support them.

Where do you deliver?

Across the U.S., door to door. Recent destinations include Longview, WA; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Mechanicsville, VA; and Dallas, GA. We also run U.S. to Mexico lanes.

Can you ship finished, not just fabricated?

Yes. Powder coat, liquid paint, anodizing and galvanizing can all sit in the same scope, along with crating and assembly.
